-= General Terms =-

  • Do NOT copy, trace, redistribute, steal or sell my artwork.

  • I have the right to decline, cancel, or refund any commission for any reason, especially if the request does not adhere to the T.O.S.

  • All commissions will be drawn in my art style. I will NOT accept commissions in other styles - i.e., mimicking the art styles of other media or individual artists.

  • Contact for commissions will be done entirely through email.

  • Commission prices are listed in USD and are priced for personal use or hobbyist clients. I do not currently accept commercial work.

    • Prices are listed at a flat rate; additional charges may be applicable. See Additional Charges for more info.

  • Prices and quotes are non-negotiable.

-= Process =-

  • Commissions are done through a slot-based system and open randomly or when needed: usually after my current queue is complete. Announcements will be posted on social media.

    • My commission/artwork queue is public information and can be found on Trello.

    • Patrons are given access to commissions at any time, including when slots are closed, should my workload allow.

  • Send an email to [xredmooncomics@gmail.com] titled “Commission Inquiry [Your Username]” to inquire about a quote.

  • Request a commission by filling out the form at the bottom of the prices or YCH page.

  • The client must have a visual reference for the character(s) they want drawn; I will NOT accept written text by itself. If it is accompanied by images, even ones cobbled together from Google, then it is acceptable as long as there is some form of visual aid.

    • Please keep all references SFW. “Barbie doll” anatomy is fine.

    • I have difficulties seeing dark colors, so if a reference has many similar values, I may have to lighten them a bit to see.

  • If I accept the commission request, the client will receive an email response verifying the order. An invoice from PayPal will be sent soon after. I will not start working on a piece until the payment has been received in full.

  • I may provide a Work-In-Progress (WIP) to the client at multiple stages of the commission, or upon request. The client must give clear confirmation to me after the sketch WIP before I can continue.

    • All YCHs are exempt from WIPs, as they are usually completed within one sitting.

  • Major changes such as expressions and posing can only be made during the sketch stage.

  • When the commission is completed, I will send a full-resolution image to the client via the email provided in the form.

  • I may upload a lower-resolution version of the commission to my galleries at any time. The client may post the commission before the artist, with credit provided.

-= Turnaround Time =-

  • I have some health issues that hinder my ability to draw consistently for long periods of time. I can only draw should my body allow it.

    • I work on both weekdays and weekends, but it is not guaranteed that commissions will be worked on immediately.

  • Multiple projects are worked on interchangeably.

  • Estimated wait time can vary between 2-3 days minimum to
2-4 months maximum. The average is approximately 1-2 weeks.

  • If a commission experiences delays, I will inform the client and keep them updated on the progress.

    • Clients are free to request an update themselves, but please be mindful of the frequency of the requests.

-= Payment =-

  • Prices are listed in USD.

  • Payments will be made through PayPal invoices only.

  • Payment plans are available for orders over $200 if discussed and agreed upon when ordering.

    • The client will not receive the finished, full-res commission until payment is received in full.

  • Tips are always enabled on invoices and are encouraged. Tips after a commission’s completion can be made on Ko-fi.

-= Additional Charges =-

  • Additional characters are 100% the base price per character.

    • Ex: Two Chibis = $100 (50x2); Three Chibis = $150 (50x3)

  • “Anthro” characters all have a $5 (chibi) or $10 fee added to the prices listed as I am not as familiar with them.
The following is what I consider “anthro”:

    • Bipedal creatures both plantigrade and digitigrade that are not explicitly humanoid (ex: furry, kemono, some pokemon etc.)

    • Human(oid)s with animalistic or digitigrade legs (ex: harpy, centaur, half-dragons, etc.)

    • Human(oid) bodies with animal heads. (ex: Beastars)

  • Depending on the complexity of the order or the character design, an additional flat fee of $15 may be added at my discretion. This fee mainly applies to designs with armor, complicated poses, and designs I deem complex.

  • To receive priority on my queue or to initiate a “rush order”, there is a minimum fee of 55%.

    • If a commission needs to be completed by a specific date or within a specific time frame, the client MUST give me at least 48 hours’ notice in advance. Otherwise, I cannot guarantee completion on time.

-= Cancellation and Refunds =-

  • Both the client and the artist have the right to cancel a commission at any time.

  • In the case of a cancellation, a refund will be provided depending on the current stage of work:

    • 100% when canceled before sketch

    • 50% when canceled before linework

    • 20% when canceled before color

    • Any other or in-between stages will have a percentage that suits the work already done

    • After completion of a commission, no refund is provided

  • Chargebacks are not allowed at any point in time. By filing a chargeback, the client will be blocked, blacklisted from purchasing future commissions, and will lose all rights to the commissioned work regardless of what state it is in.

-= Client Copyright and Usage =-

The client has the rights to:

  • Repost and publish their commission anywhere with credit.

    • To credit me, provide a link to my website or the relevant social media (linking my username) if applicable.

  • Use their commission for a banner, profile picture, emojis, or other non-commerical use.

  • Print commissioned work as posters, charms, stickers, shirts, or other merchandise for personal, non-profit use.

  • The client retains the rights to their own character(s).

The client does NOT have the rights to:

  • Profit from my artwork for any reason.

  • Resell my work.

    • Exceptions: selling the rights of a character within the artwork (e.g., if I draw someone's closed species as a commission, and that person then sells that character to someone else, which includes my artwork along with all other artwork)

  • Claim the commissioned artwork as their own.

  • Remove my signature or alter my work without my consent.

  • Sell or use my artwork for NFT and AI purposes.

-= Artist Copyright and Usage =-

  • I have the right to display commissions on my galleries, portfolio, commission examples, and other promotional devices to represent my work.

  • I retain the copyright of my artwork. I also retain the copyright of my characters if used in a commissioned piece.

  • If the client wishes to cancel the order or wants it redone from scratch, I retain the rights to repurpose, recycle, and resell the scrapped artwork for personal or commissioned reasons.
